I knew Mike as a young boy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My husband and I were friends of his parents. His Mom kept me updated by way of email in reguards to his exciting life. She and Jack were always so proud. I was so shocked to receive the email informing me of his death and I couldn’t help thinking of the pain his parents were experiencing. This tribute to Mike has replaced the regret of his death with respect and awe for the accomplishments Mike achieved in his lifetime. His parents have every right to be proud and the world did indeed suffer a lose. I wish all the best to his wife and baby boy. We will all carry the memories of Mike with us always.
